1. saw them live a few years ago and one of my friends still has tinnitus from it, none of us thought we would need to wear earplugs for them but now he has to wear them at every gig he goes to

Xui Xui [schwee-schwee] was so quiet and reserved when supporting SWANS we thought we might get away without earplugs… after like one or two songs (ok so 40 mins) we ran and bought some but my friend still had to take the next day off his call center job for tinnitus.

  2. I feel it would have been more original of me to pair my studies in German Idealism with K-pop or somthing equaly “kooky”. It, at least, would have been more tumblr. But frankly, sometimes a cliche is a cliche for a reason.

  5. a friend on my facebook  tells the  world “The last person to be guillotined in France was executed in 1977!”.

My instinctive response is “au contraire camarade, we must have hope that our brothers and sisters in france will have the stomach for another Jacobin Terror in the not to far future. Holland’s head wont just ‘fall’ off.”

I may have gone a little strange.

    didn’t post it.

  6. "Objectively the enemy can be your best friend, you lover, your party colleague, the chairman of your local branch, the editor of your party journal. The enemy is he who impedes the course of the revolution. The battle for now, comrade Trotsky, is not with [the state], it is with our selves."

Patrick Stewart is Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov Lenin and sums up the main theoretical aspects of the revolution quite well in BBC’s The Fall of the Eagles (1974).”

Towards an Apocalyptic Marxism ☭

"Communism is for us not a state of affairs which is to be established , an ideal to which reality [will] have to adjust itself. We call communism the real movement which abolishes the present state of things. The conditions of this movement result from the premises now in existence."---- The German Ideology, 1845
